To further develop the American market, we are looking for a Technical Sales Representative I that partners with our customers to provide technical sales and service of our biological portfolio within the agricultural markets across the West Region. This role will be remotely based in the surrounding area of California, focused on high-value specialty markets.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze and develop optimal biological programs for Koppert’s clients, prospects, and expanding the use of Koppert’s comprehensive portfolio in crop protection
  • Cultivate markets in the West Region for biological product lines in outdoor crops to ensure customer success
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, growers’ meetings, seminars and working with extension offices and centers of influence to reinforce our lead generation, networking and brand awareness efforts
  • Build and develop customer relationships to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and agronomic strategies for the territory
  • Achieve sales targets and manage accurate forecasting within the designated territory as outlined in the business plan

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • BA/BS Degree in Ag-related field is preferred or similar experience
  • 1+ years of experience with the agriculture/ornamental sales/farming markets
  • Communicate effectively; both verbally and written in English (Spanish is a preferred, but not required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills including; negotiating, collaboration and effective conflict resolution
  • Ability to work with autonomy and willing to travel extensively on business (60% or more)
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM platforms
  • General pesticide knowledge & background- Pest Control Advisor (PCA) is a preferred, but not required
  • Dedicated passion for integrated pest management strategies in agriculture
  • Proven track record of successful territory development and achieving sales growth targets
  • Deliver consultative and value-based selling focused on biological integrated systems
