CEICKOR Celebrates its 15th Anniversary with the Presentation of a Commemorative Book

Colon, Queretaro, Mexico. This year, the Koppert-Rapel Research and Training Center (CEICKOR) commemorates its 15th anniversary with the presentation of a book that documents its history and a ceremony where the founders and shareholders will honor the most prominent contributors to the success story of this institution. Over this period, CEICKOR has successfully positioned itself as the most influential educational institution in the horticultural sector.
The commemorative book, ’CEICKOR, 15th anniversary, 2005 – 2020’ will be presented next Friday evening, 6 March 2020 at the Museum of Art of Querétaro.
A history of commitment to protected agriculture
The Koppert-Rapel Research and Training Center began its history 15 years ago with the founding of the Rapel Agricultural Institute. In 2010, the Mexican subsidiary of the Dutch company Koppert Biological Systems and Rapel partnered to create the institution that is today widely known by the acronym CEICKOR.
Since then, CEICKOR has gained vast experience that it shares through professional training programs and specialized advice to producers and workers in greenhouses through courses, workshops and seminars specialized in the technical management of protected crops and administrative areas of the operation of a greenhouse.
Applied research is an essential part of CEICKOR. The research projects have linked this institution with horticultural companies and suppliers, and they have collaborated to evaluate and validate products, materials and new production techniques.
In 2015, the institution took a new step in its history with the creation of the CEICKOR University (CEICKOR University Center, A.C.). An educational entity that was born with the purpose of responding to the growing need to train specialists in the field of protected agriculture, with an educational model focused on practical learning, backed by the company's experience. At CEICKOR University, the students are taught both in classrooms and greenhouses, and they live in campus residences in an educational environment. In this way, they gain and strengthen cooperation, coexistence and responsibility skills and values.
CEICKOR has become a benchmark in the protected agriculture industry in Mexico by actively contributing to the specialized training of the sector for 15 years, daily keeping alive its philosophy of an organization that strongly believes that education and generosity make nations stronger.
15 years in a commemorative book
The book, ‘CEICKOR, 15th anniversary, 2005 – 2020’ contains an extensive documentation on the milestones that have shaped the principles and philosophy of this institution, as well as containing the testimonies of its leaders, companies and personalities that have marked generations of talent in protected agriculture. The publication will be available from 9 March, with a limited number of copies available.
