Koppert’s Natutec Airobreez is a handheld release system for the uniform distribution of natural enemies on crops. It’s more efficient than applying the product manually, and is designed specifically to keep the beneficials alive, safe, and ready to do their job of protecting plants. Just the right amount of product is dispensed at a constant pace, without any of it being lost.
In essence, the Airobreez is a sleek next-generation BCA blower gun. It looks like it morphed out of a video game, complete with a shoulder strap for wielding it into the crops for battle. A rechargeable battery provides power so there’s no cord to trip over while accurately frosting plants up to at least four meters away from the barrel.
For an up-close look at the Natutec Airobreez head over to Cultivate ’25 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio from July 12–15, 2025. Get a hands-on experience with the blower gun that will be featured on display at Koppert’s booth, #2357. It’s a great opportunity to stop by, say hello, and ask Koppert’s expert technical consultants questions regarding the Airobreez or any other products in the Koppert line.
Significant Features
Low Mortality
Airobreez has a fan and chute specifically designed to accelerate the beneficials without killing them. Oftentimes the harsh landing is what does the most damage to these creatures, so the Airobreez motors have been built to mimic breezes and air currents that are natural for predatory insects. Tests have shown mortality rates below 2%.
Precision Control
Fan motors can be adjusted to control distance. Many leaf blower-type distributors are unable to dispense agents close up to them. Airobreez can dial down the speed while still providing even coverage within a foot or two of the operator.
A hand grip near the muzzle of the gun allows for precise deposits, even in corners and edges of crops. Beneficials do no good splashed on a wall or spilled into a walkway. They’re most effective when they land on the plants themselves.
Large Capacity
An extra large hopper holds three liters, or several bottles, of BCA products for extended runs through large greenhouses or expansive fields. Less reloading means more coverage in the same amount of time. An extra large opening makes product transfer easy.
Extended Use
All aspects of the Airobreez are designed for long running times—the extra large hopper for less reloading and the durable motor for less overheating or wear down. There’s also a wide carry strap to sling the gun over the shoulder for comfortable transport, and two handle grips for better weight balance. Lightweight construction keeps all-day effort to a minimum.
Even Distribution
Efficacy of a BCA deployment is controlled by the quality of distribution—that is, the pattern and the thickness of the BCAs on the plants. Airobreez is the single best tool available to ensure that all of your crop is evenly covered with predators, ensuring predictable and consistent results.

Details Matter - GrowerTalks Article
In “Details Matter,” Jeremy Webber, National Ornamental Consultant Team Leader at Koppert U.S., emphasizes the importance of uniform distribution when applying predatory mites for pest control. Since these mites can't easily move between plants, ensuring proper coverage is key. Tools like Koppert’s Airobug and Airobreez are designed to boost efficiency and support even application across crops.
