Written in GrowerTalks: "Cold Chain Management" by Heidi Doering

Koppert’s national ornamental crop specialist, Heidi Doering, has an article in the January edition of GrowerTalks. In Cold Chain Management Of Biologicals she discusses the critical time between the delivery of biologicals to the grower and the moment before deployment. Temperature awareness and holding the different types of products are covered, as well as preparing for application and troubleshooting. It’s a highly informative treatment of a topic of great importance to growers who want to get the best pest control result for their dollars spent.

Heidi has worked with Koppert for the past decade and is one of the most well-informed plant experts of the day regarding ornamental IPM. Her broad range of experience includes greenhouse production, university extension, sales, and technical product management. She earned her masters in horticulture at Penn State.

GrowerTalks magazine has been the industry’s voice for ornamental horticulture since 1937. Growers and propagators turn to it to learn about the newest standards and practices, including those for biological programs and integrated pest management (IPM).
