Why We Do, What We Do

For Future Generations

The world population will continue to grow rapidly in the coming years and will exceed the 9 billion mark by the year 2050. It is a great challenge to be able to provide all these people with healthy and safe food in the future.

Natural resources are limited. The use of chemical crop protection products and artificial fertilizers disrupts ecosystems and diminishes the biodiversity. In our view, the present production systems are coming to an end. This is why we have to go back to the basic principles and exercise respect for the natural ecosystems. Koppert is continually looking for the answers that are locked in nature itself to then make them applicable for sustainable and productive agriculture and horticulture. It's the only responsible way in which to pass on the earth to future generations.

Driven by Health

To be able to realize sustainable health for humans and crops alike, it is necessary to think in terms of systems. Fortunately, this aim is increasingly endorsed by many supply chain parties and other stakeholders. The foundation for sustainable health lies in protecting and endursing vital and resilient ecosystems as a basis for healthy crops. It is in this field that Koppert's expertise and strength lies. We are convinced that we can make a substantial contribution to this worldwide health issue. It is certainly our goal, but most importantly, it is our source of motivation.

Our mission statement holds true to what we firmly believe. That in partnership with nature we can make agriculture healthier, safer and more productive.
